Video: Former Tennessee player gives sneak peek at ‘Battle at Bristol’ field

The Tennessee Volunteers and Virginia Tech Hokies will be having a pretty unique early season match-up as they will meet up on the infield at Bristol Motor Speedway. Former Vols defensive back Inky Johnson gave fans an early look at what the field looks like at the race track.

The former player was at the field on Monday and he decided to tweet out a video. It still looks to be in the beginning phases, but there are still a few months before the two teams actually take the field.

Johnson’s career with the Volunteers came to an early end in 2006 when he suffered an injury that left his right arm paralyzed. He is still heavily involved with Tennessee and travels the country as a motivational speaker.

He will almost certainly be in attendance for the game that takes place on September 10, a week after the Vols open the season with the Appalachian State Mountaineers.
