Last year, the NFL implemented a new rule stating the extra point try would be moved back to the 15-yard line on a trial run. It has been made a permanent rule for this year. While the extra point line has been moved back, teams can still receive the ball at the two-yard line if they choose to go for a two-point conversion.
The move was made to give teams an added incentive to go for two, and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hopes his team takes advantage of that.
Roethlisberger said he would love for his team go for two after every touchdown this year and that he and head coach Mike Tomlin have discussed the idea, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Last year, the Steelers led the NFL with 11 two-point attempts and eight conversions. They also became the first team to attempt a two-point try in the first quarter in 17 years.
The Steelers set a goal of averaging 30 points per game this season and going for two will certainly help.
