Report: Kentucky G Tyler Ulis has ‘pretty significant’ hip issue

Tyler Ulis’ NBA Draft stock could be taking a hit just days before team’s make their selections in New York next week. According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, Ulis is dealing with a “pretty significant” hip issue which may require surgery.

The medical red flag could force teams to go in a different direction, leading to a draft day slide for the former Kentucky star.

Per Kyler, the issue is so sever that Ulis “could slide deep into the first round or even over into the second depending on how team medical staffs view his situation.”

Last season as a sophomore, the 5-foot-9 guard averaged 17.3 points and 7.0 assists per game.

There were already concerns about his size, so it will be interesting to see just how far Ulis falls before his name is called.
