This week, the U.S. Open Tournament takes place at Oakmont Country Club, arguably one of the toughest courses on tour. However, Bubba Watson is trying to show everyone that it’s not that hard to work your way out of the rough at the course.
Just days ahead of the first round of the tournament, Watson took to the rough just off one of the greens during a practice round. He got out of his jam with a shot that probably wouldn’t considered legal.
He chipped the ball, popped it back up with the head of his club and then casually tossed it towards the green, watching it roll in as he walked away like John “Hannibal” Smith would after he just watched “a plan come together.”

Of course, Bubba Watson couldn’t use this technique come Thursday morning, but it would certainly make the sport a little more interesting. It would also make the game a lot easier to play.
