On Thursday, reports surfaced that Art Briles had been blasting Baylor University and accusing the university of wrongful termination in the midst of a sexual assault scandal.
Now, less than 24 hours later, new reports are surfacing that the two sides have reached a contract settlement.
Bleacher Report’s Jason King shared the news, but no financial terms or details of any kind were given.
Baylor has reached a contract settlement with former football coach Art Briles, sources tell B/R. Details unclear.

If a settlement has been reached, it likely slams the door on any possibility of Briles returning to coach the Bears after a one-year suspension. That scenario was floated around earlier in the week, but was quickly met with plenty of criticism.
If Baylor truly wants to move on from the sexual assault scandal and gross mishandling of accusations involving football players, they need to start over with a clean slate.
Sorry, board of regents, that includes getting rid of Art Briles once and for all.
