Reporter slams Ayesha Curry for saying NBA rigged the Finals

On Thursday night, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors were run out of the gym at Quicken Loans Arena as the Cleveland Cavaliers convincingly forced a Game 7.

As the game winded down, Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, simultaneously had meltdowns that caught the attention of the Internet.

On the court, Steph Curry launched his mouthpiece and hit a fan on the sideline while he was ejected for the first time in his career as a Warrior. Off the court, Ayesha Curry set Twitter on fire with a tweet — that was later deleted — claiming the NBA rigged the NBA Finals in order to get “more money” and a Game 7.

Curry was understandably lambasted on Twitter for the ridiculous tweet, but what we couldn’t have expected was the harsh words directed her way by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

Windhorst slammed Ayesha Curry after the game, saying, “If indeed the NBA is rigged, she better thank her lucky stars because they rigged it for Steph Curry to have two MVPs and be worth $100 million.”

Ouch.

Let’s hope everyone can keep their emotions in check for the series-deciding Game 7 on Sunday.
