ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay is beginning his evaluation of the players eligible for the 2017 NFL Draft. Throughout his scouting process, McShay uncovers a number of talented players but Michigan State’s Malik McDowell is a player who really stuck out.
McDowell, a former five-star recruit with high expectations entering the 2016 college football season, impressed McShay so much that he claimed the Spartans defensive tackle is the most impressive NFL prospect he’s seen so far.
Still have a ton of prospects to study this summer but so far the best I've seen is Michigan State DT Malik McDowell.

McDowell has been projected as a top 15 pick in a number of early 2017 mock drafts, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s viewed as one of the top interior defensive linemen available and one of the draft’s top talents.
However, it is rare that you see a defensive tackle selected in the top few picks, so we wouldn’t put him in the discussion to be No. 1 overall just yet.
