Following Baylor’s sexual assault scandal, many signed athletes asked to revoke their Letters of Intent, and Devin Duvernay was amongst this group. For most of these said athletes, contacting or visiting any other schools within a certain time frame is prohibited by the NCAA.
However due to an error by Baylor in filing Duvernay’s LOI, the wide receiver was free to visit and sign anywhere. So, months after National Signing Day , the Texas Longhorns were able to swoop up the five-foot-eleven, 195-pound elite player.
247 Sports mentions that Duvernay is rated as the No. 4 overall wide receiver, and the No. 36 player nationally in the 2016 class.
Although Devin Duvernay was released from his commitment to Baylor by chance, his twin brother, Donovan, did not have the same fortune. However if he is released, the brothers are probable to be playing together in Texas soon.
