North Carolina’s Brice Johnson will likely get selected late-first or early second-round in tonight’s NBA Draft. While his career in college is now over, he still remembers how much controversy there is surrounding Duke guard Grayson Allen.
During the 2015-16 season, it became pretty apparent that if Allen could get away with it, he was going to intentionally trip his opponents anytime he can. Allen was caught twice tripping a player during the season, but was never assessed any kind of punishment from the ACC or NCAA.
Johnson did an interview with The Players’ Tribune and played a game of “First Thing That Pops,” where he plays word association. He had the perfect description for the Duke star.

Blue Devils fans probably won’t like hearing it, but, even as a Duke fan myself, I will admit that Grayson Allen does like getting the slight advantage where he can. He will certainly have to be careful about doing that this season because officials are probably going to be all over him.
