The Phoenix Suns were picking in the top 14 for the sixth straight year and they want to end that streak going into the 2016-17 season. They took who they hope to be the next Kristaps Porzingis in Croatian power forward Dragan Bender.

Bender, who last played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, is obviously going to draw some comparisons to the New York Knicks’ superstar from last year’s NBA Draft. He is looking to make a big impact for the Suns going into his rookie season.
Dragan Bender averaged just over eight points and six rebounds per game for Tel Aviv last season. He is the sixth international player to be drafted in the top four.
