The Celtics might not end up sticking with this player as they have been rumored to be willing to make a deal at some point. Many didn’t even believe Boston would be make the pick and it would get traded away.
However, Brown would be a huge piece for the Celtics if he ends up sticking with the team. He can play in both the front and back court, meaning he can do just about anything for the team.
In the 2015-16 season with the Golden Bears, Jaylen Brown averaged 14.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He is the first Cal player to be drafted in the top three since Shareef Abdur-Rahim in 1996.
Jaylen Brown is the 3rd California player selected in the Top 3 joining Shareef Abdur-Rahim (No. 3 in 1996) and Jason Kidd (No. 2 in 1994).
