NBA Free Agency 2016: Kevin Durant to meet with 6 teams

When the NBA Free Agency period begins on July 1, there is no doubt Kevin Durant will be the most highly-sought after player. So with his big decision just around the corner, the NBA All-Star has scheduled meetings with potential suitors.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical, Durant has scheduled meetings with six teams.

Who has made the early list of Durant’s possible destinations? Per Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will get the first crack at his services.

Meetings are expected to begin next weekend, with the likely location being in New York.

Unfortunately, despite Durant likely coming to New York for the meetings, it doesn’t appear as though the Knicks are in the immediate mix.

The common belief is Durant will return to Oklahoma City on a one-year deal to play another season with Russell Westbrook before they both hit the open market, but with top teams like the Warriors and Spurs in the mix, anything could be possible.
