Johnny Manziel’s lawyer withdraws from case

As of Monday morning, lawyer Bob Hinton has withdrawn from the latest Johnny Manziel case.

After the Associated Press published a text message accidentally sent to them by Hinton on Friday, he made the decision discontinue representing Manziel legally.

In the text, Hinton claimed that he had a receipt showing that the troubled Manziel had spent over $1,000 at a drug paraphernalia store. He also said that he was worried that Manziel would fail a drug test if it became required.

Monday, Manziel’s spokesperson Denise Michaels took to Twitter to announce that Manziel’s lead attorney, Jim Darnell, confirmed that Hinton was no longer a part of Manziel’s legal team.
