New Mexico State WR Teldrick Morgan transfers to Maryland

The Maryland Terrapins have essentially started completely over and head coach D.J. Durkin is looking to make a big move for the team going forward. They have just added a big player for their offense in former New Mexico State wide receiver Teldrick Morgan in a graduate transfer.

The Terrapins finished the 2015 season 13th in the Big Ten and 109th nationally in passing, so having a player like Morgan would certainly help them out this year. The former Aggie announced his decision to transfer out of New Mexico State earlier this year.

“Teldrick brings a great deal to our program and we’re excited that he’s a part of our family,” Durkin said in a release. “It’s always great to bring a local kid back home, and on top of that he’s very skilled and brings a wealth of experience to our receivers unit.”

In three seasons with the Aggies, Teldrick Morgan recorded 120 catches, 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. His biggest year came in 2014, his sophomore year, as he hauled in 75 catches for 905 yards and seven touchdowns.
