USC WR Adoree’ Jackson qualifies for US long jump finals

USC wide receiver Adoree’ Jackson is one of the best two-way players in all of college football and he has been trying his hardest to represent his country at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

He took the next step towards that on Saturday when he qualified for the finals at the US long jump trials.

Jackson was in 15th place entering into the event on Saturday, needing to make it into the Top 12 before the finals on Sunday. He recorded a season-best 7.89m to get into the final round of the event.

The rising junior is one of the best athletes in the country and he is certainly looking to make a big impact for the Trojans on the football field and the track this year. Last year, Adoree Jackson recorded 35 tackles, an interception return for a touchdown, eight pass deflections and also returned two punts for touchdowns.

He also placed fifth at the NCAA track and field championships earlier this year. Because of that, he fell just short of qualifying for the Olympics, but he still has a chance to do so on Sunday.
