Current Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is engaged to singer Ciara, who happens to have a child with the rapper Future. Things turned sour between Ciara and the rapper when he publicly called her a bad mother. Ciara sued him for defamation shortly after.
Now, Ciara has made far more serious claims against her former lover, suggesting that Future had made threats to kill the football player.
According to TMZ, there was a substantial amount of evidence that Future wanted Wilson dead. Future had posted on social media a couple of footballs followed by gun emojis. He also voiced his anger in his music, with lyrics in a recent song reading: “Try’na f–k my baby mama, dog what’s up with you? You gon’ make me get that heat, I’m pulling up on you.”
In the files, the rapper’s behavior is referred to as “socially irresponsible” and “frightening.” It also indicated a “recent rash of gun violence.”
While this isn’t totally relevant to Ciara’s current civil case, the songstress still needs to prove that there were untrue statements made about her with malice. If Ciara and her legal team are able to make their claims about the death threats stick, it could potentially count as evidence of intentional malice.
It seems almost unnatural for Wilson to find himself caught up in a situation like this, as he’s made a good reputation for himself over the years. But it could get much worse for the quarterback as the case and legal issues continue.
