Michigan now has second-best odds to win national title

The Michigan Wolverines are looking to be one of the best teams in the country heading into the 2016 college football season and it certainly looks like they could make some noise.

Westlake Las Vegas Superbook seems to favor the Wolverines pretty heavily this year.

On Sunday, the book released updated odds of the 2016 national championship and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Alabama is still at the top. However, Michigan made a big jump, moving past Clemson, Ohio State and Florida State with updated odds of 7-1.

The Crimson Tide leads the field with 5-1 odds, better than their 6-1 odds back in January. The biggest drop over the last six months is the Baylor Bears, who had 12-1 odds in January and have dropped to 40-1 now.

Here are the top 12 odds heading into the 2016 season:

Alabama: 5-1
Michigan: 7-1
Clemson: 8-1
Florida State: 8-1
Ohio State: 8-1
Oklahoma: 10-1
LSU: 12-1
Tennessee: 12-1
Notre Dame: 20-1
TCU: 25-1
USC: 25-1
Washington: 25-1
