UFC 200 salaries: Brock Lesnar tops payroll with $2.5 million

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar returned to the Octagon on Saturday night for UFC 200 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Lesnar made a big splash in his return bout, scoring a decision victory over Mark Hunt.

Lesnar also received a hefty payday for his efforts, earning a payroll topping $2.5 million purse.

The number, which was released by the Nevada Athletic Commission, is now the highest recorded UFC purse in the promotion’s history, topping Conor McGregor’s $1 million from UFC 196.

A whopping 13 additional fighters — Mark Hunt, Anderson Silva, Miesha Tate, Daniel Cormier, Jose Aldo,Cain Velasquez, Frankie Edgar, Travis Browne, Jim Miller, Gegard Mousasi, Joe Lauzon, Amanda Nunes, and Sage Northcutt — received six-figure paydays.

The figures released do not include any money from outside sponsors, Reebok outfitting numbers or outside sponsorships for the athletes. The UFC 200 purses also exclude any locker room bonuses or pay-per-view buy points.
