Draymond Green arrest video surfaces

On Monday, news surfaced that Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, was arrested for assault in East Lansing, Michigan.

Shortly after the news of his arrest was confirmed, the folks at TMZ Sports were able to find a video filmed of the Green arrest. Naturally, the video was released online for the world to see.

Here is the grainy footage:

Green was arrested outside of a restaurant named Conrad’s Grill.

Per the reports, Green slapped a heckling fan inside of the bar before being escorted out of the establishment and handcuffed by police. Green is scheduled for arraignment on July 20.

While the Warriors and/or NBA could punish Green for his missteps off the court, the maximum punishment he can face under the law is 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.

At this point, Golden State is simply waiting to see how everything plays out.

“At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation,” the team said in a statement.
