UGA’s Brandon Kublanow: ‘We are UGA, we run the ball’

The Georgia Bulldogs are entering the 2016 season with a completely new look as Kirby Smart takes over the program and Jim Chaney takes over as the offensive coordinator.

Senior offensive lineman Brandon Kublanow is already looking forward to what their offense will be able to do with a new look.

He talked with several reporters at SEC Media Days on Tuesday and said that they are ready for the upcoming season and they are adjust pretty well under Chaney and offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

“Coach Chaney is hilarious,” Kublanow said. “He has been painting the whiteboards floor to ceiling like a jail cell. His philosophy fits us so much so the transition has been smooth.”

He talked about the quarterback situation, which could put the team on the field with a new guy and a true freshman under Kublanow. He isn’t concerned about that because he knows where their true strength lies.

“We’re UGA, we run the ball, it’s what we do,” he said.

There is certainly no denying that the Bulldogs are very good at running the football after they have had some pretty great players as of late. Nick Chubb returns to the field after a horrific injury last season as well as Sony Michel hoping to return from a recent broken ahead of the start of the season.

Kublanow has been an important part of the team’s offensive line in past years and it looks like he will be doing just the same this year. The Bulldogs open the season on Sept. 3 against the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Georgia Dome in the 2016 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.
