For the first time in more than 50 years, the Stanford Cardinal football program is the preseason favorite to bring home the Pac-12 title.
In a recent poll of the Pac-12 media, Stanford received a whopping 24 votes to win the Pac-12 North and 20 votes to win the Pac-12 title overall. It marks the first time in 56 years that Stanford is the preseason favorite to win the conference.

The Pac-12 later tweeted out a complete divisional breakdown of the votes.

Considering the Cardinal are coming into the season with star running back Christian McCaffrey, one of the preseason favorites to win the Heisman Trophy this season, it comes as no surprise that Stanford is receiving so much preseason hype.
