Steve Spurrier is one of the best college football coaches of the last two decades or so and it looks like fans everywhere are going to miss him.
I don’t think there is one fan that will miss him more than Florida fan Richard Ward.
Ward decided he wanted to commemorate Spurrier, who coached the Gators from 1990-2001 and helped them win six SEC championships and a national title in 1996. To pay tribute to the coach, Ward got a tattoo of him sitting on the shoulders of Kenyetta Walker and Gerard Warren after he led them to the SEC title in 2000, his final with the team.

While Steve Spurrier left for an SEC East rival just a few years after his time in Gainesville ended, he will always be remembered as one of the greatest sports figures in Florida Gators history. Not only did he go 122-27-1 as a coach, he set numerous school records as a quarterback and became their first Heisman Trophy winner in 1966.
Never change Coach Spurrier and never change Gator Nation.
