Get excited, Texas A&M football fans, Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin has announced the program will be unveiling new throwback uniforms during the 2016 season.
Sumlin announced the team’s alternate uniform is coming during an appearance at an event in Dallas.
There is no word on what year the uniform will pay tribute to, but Sumlin claims it will be a championship team — which is going way back to 1919, 1927 or 1939.

Let’s just hope the Aggies once again bust out the throwback “leather” helmets.

We will also have to wait to see what week the Aggies will roll out their new look onto the field.
For now, however, all of the attention is on Sept. 3 when the Aggies kickoff their 2016 campaign with a tough test against the UCLA Bruins.
