On Friday afternoon, the USC Gamecocks’ official Twitter account announced their “take-over” of SEC Network for the entirety of the following Friday, July 29.
All day next Friday we're taking over @SECNetwork so mark your calendars and set your DVRs!! #SpursUp #Gamecocks pic.twitter.com/PXQE2XDXoN

A take-over consists of the host program re-playing all of their most memorable and exciting games on a very public channel for all their fanbase to watch.
Of course, nothing on Twitter gets by these days without a cheeky response from someone, somewhere.
The Citadel was that someone on Friday afternoon, responding to the Gamecocks’ tweet within an hour of it being posted.

The Bulldogs wouldn’t let the Gamecocks forget about what happened on November 21, 2015. Despite South Carolina 3-8 record before kickoff, the program is one of the more storied in college football history.
The Citadel, relative unknowns, were a surprising 8-3 before taking on the Gamecocks, but the victory that ensued was no less sweet. The Bulldogs had effectively taken down their big brothers and fellow South Carolinians with a stunning 56 yard TD run from their running back, Tyler Renew.
South Carolina naturally had to respond, so this is what they mustered up.

A little less savage than what we would have liked to see from the Gamecocks in response, but when you lead the all-time series 40-8-3, sometimes that’s all you need.
