Clemson favored to repeat as conference champs in ACC media poll

The Clemson Tigers are looking to build off of last season’s success, which included an appearance in the national championship game and star quarterback Deshaun Watson earning a place in New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Entering the 2016 season, the expectation is Clemson will be able to lead the way in the ACC.

The defending champion Tigers were by far the favorite, winning the poll with 144 votes. Florida State received 39 votes, while North Carolina got seven and Louisville came away with just one.

The Tigers were also picked to have this year’s ACC Player of the Year this season as well, as Watson received 164 votes in that poll. A not-so-close second was Florida State running back Dalvin Cook with 18 votes.

Below is exactly how the voting went by division, per NBC Sports. All first-place votes are in parentheses.
