LB Raheim Huskey dismissed from Marshall

Raheim Huskey has had a pretty rocky career with the Marshall Thundering Herd and now it has come to an end. It was announced on Tuesday that the once starting middle linebacker has been dismissed from the school for what was only described as a violation of team rules.

Huskey has been up-and-down with Thundering Herd over the last two years as he was the projected starter at middle linebacker going into the 2015 summer camp before being passed by Devontre’a Tyler. He was then suspended indefinitely by the team in October after playing in just six games in 2015.

He returned to the team after being reinstated just before spring practice earlier this year. Now, it looks like he has done enough off the field to cost him his spot on the team at Marshall.

Raheim Huskey was a member of the team’s 2013 recruiting class and he redshirted during his true freshman season. He has played in 16 games the last two seasons and recorded 48 total tackles, five for loss, and two sacks.
