LSU running back Leonard Fournette is one of the best in the country at what he does and I would expect him to make a huge impact for the Tigers this year. He should also be one of the top players in the 2017 NFL Draft should he decide to go that path.
It looks like one AFC scout is pretty confident that he will make a big impact in the NFL. He talked about how the 2017 running back class could be the best in a decade with players like Fournette, Dalvin Cook and Christian McCaffrey likely to be in the draft.
“He’s a bad dude. Big, fast, nimble, runs with aggression,” the scout said about Fournette. “You watch a (Adrian) Peterson and see Gurley and talk about how rare they are, and two years later here comes another one.”
Leonard Fournette was a huge piece for the Tigers last year as he set the team’s single-season record for rushing yards with 1,953 and touchdowns with 22. He should be at the top of many Heisman Trophy boards going into the 2016 season and it will be fun to see what he does.
The Tigers open the season on Sept. 3 against the Wisconsin Badgers at Lambeau Field.
