Tennessee CB Darrell Miller announces transfer from school

The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to be a big contender in the SEC this year, but they won’t have a piece of their depth chart going into the season. Sophomore cornerback Darrell Miller announced that he would be seeking a transfer out of Knoxville to continue his career.

He took to his Twitter account, which he has since deleted, and thanked his coaches for the opportunity to play there. It looks like he was pretty grateful for his time with the Volunteers.

“I want to think the University of Tennessee & the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to play at such a prestigious program I wish nothing but the best to my teammates and the coaching staff. One.”

Miller didn’t record any stats during his true freshman season, but he did see playing time at different points throughout the year. He was a three-star member of their 2015 recruiting class.
