The Ohio State Buckeyes could be in a bit of trouble going into the 2016 season after they lost a few pieces of their depth chart on Sunday. The team lost a player on both the offensive and defensive line due to injuries.
Eric Seger of Eleven Warriors reported that head coach Urban Meyer said redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Darius Slade would be out for the 2016 season after he suffered a ruptured Achilles. He also reported that Meyer said true freshman offensive lineman Malcolm Pridgeon would be out three months with a knee injury.
Darius Slade ruptured his achilles and is out for the year, Urban Meyer said.

Slade was a three-star member of the team’s 2014 recruiting class, but he did not record any stats during the 2015 season. Pridgeon was one of the team’s highest-rated recruits this year as a JUCO four-star tackle out of Garden City, New Jersey.
Pridgeon could take a redshirt for his junior season now that he has gone down with this injury. It is certainly a blow for the Buckeyes and it looks like they will move forward with both players down.
