After the hot start sophomore Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson had to his career at Louisville, you would expect for him only to get better in the coming years. It looks like exactly that is happening after what he has done in the team’s two scrimmage games this year.
Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com reported that Jackson went 21-25 during Saturday’s scrimmage. ESPN’s David Hale saw the tweet and mentioned that he looked pretty good in the spring game, going 24-29 for a total of 45-54.
It certainly seems like the Cardinals have a special quarterback and the best news is that he will be around for at least the next two years. He threw for 1,840 yards and 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 957 yards and 11 touchdowns.
His best game of the year came at the most crucial time when he threw for 227 yards and rushed for 226 with four total touchdowns in the team’s Music City Bowl win over Texas A&M. I think the Cardinals are going to be just fine with their quarterback situation this year.
Louisville opens the 2016 season on Sept. 1 against Charlotte.
