Video: P.J. Fleck awards walk-on a full ride using Sylvester Stallone

The teams in the MAC have handed out full rides to walk-on players in some pretty unique ways this summer and Western Michigan was the next up on the list. Head coach P.J. Fleck gave redshirt sophomore linebacker Kasey Carson using a legendary sports movie star.

Before the scholarship was handed out, Carson actually gained the favor of his team when he helped end practice early. Fleck came out dressed in full uniform and in his best Dwayne Johnson “Gridiron Gang” impression, he called out Carson to try and stop him and end practice early.

Not only was he able to do just that, Carson was also surprised with a full-ride scholarship when Sylvester Stallone popped up on the big screen and gave him the good news.

That was pretty awesome and it looks like Carson will look to make a big impact for the Broncos in the coming years. He was a walk-on with the class of 2014 and he played in nine games in 2015, totaling eight tackles.
