WR Krenwick Sanders gets release from Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers have lost a piece of their offensive depth chart as wide receiver Krenwick Sanders has decided to transfer out of the school this year. The school announced that he had been granted his release from the school on Sunday.

It was reported that he was one of two scholarship players not on the team’s 105-man roster and it was because he is looking to transfer. The redshirt sophomore will likely make his decision soon.

Sanders, a three-star prospect out of Jesup, Georgia in 2014, was once a verbal commit to play for Georgia. He could end up playing with the Bulldogs with former high school teammate Greyson Lambert if he decides to head back to his home state.

During his redshirt freshman season in 2015, Sanders played in seven games and caught just one pass for 10 yards. He will have to sit out the 2016 season if he decides to transfer to another FBS school and would have two years of eligibility left in 2017.
