Pitt could use throwbacks more than once in 2016

On Tuesday, Pittsburgh head coach Pat Narduzzi revealed some amazing new throwback uniforms that give a nod to their old yellow and navy blue look the team has worn in the past. After some pretty great reactions from around the country, it looks like the Panthers could go with the look more than for just the Oct. 8 game against Georgia Tech.

Narduzzi spoke with members of the media about the new look to be worn this year and he seemed to shuck the ultimate decision off on his seniors.

“I think it’s going to be something that our seniors, our eagles, will kind of decide,” Narduzzi said. “‘Hey, what do we want to do?’ If they like the look, I’m open to anything. I just want to coach football.”

If this video of the players reacting to the uniforms are any indication of things to come this year, I would say there is a good chance the Panthers will break this look out more than once.

The seniors could decide to make this a once-a-year thing, but either way the Panthers will look very good when they hit the field in October.
