The Texas A&M Aggies might have taken a big hit Saturday morning when linebacker Josh Walker was arrested on domestic violence charges. It looks like he could miss a period of time going into the 2016 season.
It was reported by Brent Zweneman of the Houston Chronicle that Walker was arrested on these charges after he got into an altercation with his girlfriend. The charges are unofficially listed as “assault causing bodily injury to a family member” and “interfering with emergency requested for assistance.”

CSPD's Alaniz: Josh Walker wouldn't allow his girlfriend to call 911, took phone from her. 911 call was still connected in his pocket.

In two seasons, Walker has played in 21 games, five total starts, and has recorded 45 tackles in that stretch. He is likely going to be a big part of their defense, but it will be interesting to see what kind of punishment he is hit with.
The Aggies open the 2016 season on Sept. 3 against the UCLA Bruins.
