The North Carolina Tar Heels men’s soccer team has made the NCAA Tournament every year since 2008. They look to keep that streak going this year and will have some new threads when they take the field.

The Tar Heels introduced a new home jersey for the 2016 season on Thursday, drawing inspiration from the Houston Astros’ popular “Tequila Sunrise” look among uniform junkies. It was immediately met with a positive reaction.

UNC will certainly look good when they step onto the pitch Friday for their season opener against Cal Poly.

UNC went 15-2-3 in 2015 and made the second round of the NCAA Tournament after being eliminated from the ACC Tournament in the quarterfinals.

They open the season with a pair of home games against Cal Poly and Saint Louis this weekend.
