Dwyane Wade’s cousin shot and killed in Chicago

|

Former Miami Heat and current Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade got some very sad news Friday night when his cousin was shot and killed in a crossfire incident in his hometown of Chicago.

Nykea Aldridge was reportedly hit twice with bullets in an incident late Friday night.

Police reported that Aldridge was walking away with her infant child when she was hit and that two men were attempting to shoot a third and accidentally hit her. Her child, one of four, was not injured in the incident.

The Bulls, with whom Wade signed earlier this summer, released a statement on the sad situation.

“The entire Chicago Bulls organization is deeply saddened by the news of Dwyane Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge. We send our deepest condolences to the entire Wade family during this difficult time.”

Campus Sports would like to send their condolences to Aldridge’s entire family.
