Video: High school football player makes insane play, flips over tackler

The high school football season has just gotten started, but it certainly seems like we may have gotten one of the best plays of the year. Malik Johnson, a sophomore at Alonso High School in Tampa, Florida, made an incredible play during the Ravens’ game Friday night.

He looked to fake a punt and took off running down the field. It looked like he was going to get hit, but he did an incredible flip over the would-be tackler to pick up some extra yardage.

Yeah, that might be the play of the year and we haven’t even gotten into the meat of the season yet.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see this young man start to get some looks from colleges all over the country in the very near future. If he continues to do what he did last night, there is no reason why he wouldn’t start drawing attention.
