Smackdown Live: Live stream, TV info and preview

Last week, Smackdown Live took big steps towards the future as they introduced two new championships as well as crowning a new number one contender for the WWE World Championship. We are just two weeks away from Backlash, so it will be fun to see how they build this card over the next two shows.

AJ Styles locked up his one-on-one match against Dean Ambrose for the Lunatic Fringe’s championship at Backlash on Sept. 11 and it will be interesting to see what unfolds in their sage. Styles has a ton of momentum after his Summerslam victory over John Cena and Ambrose is still hot off his victory over Dolph Ziggler.

The Smackdown Tag Team Championship tournament continues as The Vaudevillains face off against The Hype Bros and Heath Slater and Rhyno face off against a mystery team, likely popular 90s team The Headbangers, who announced their return to WWE over the weekend.

What will come out of the Smackdown Women’s Championship picture after Carmella had a change of heart and twice attacked Nikki Bella last week? How will the other four women involve themselves in the picture this week?

The most interesting thing to come out of last week’s Smackdown Live didn’t happen on the main show, but rather the WWE Network exclusive talk show “Talking Smack,” which follow the blue brand each week. Intercontinental Champion The Miz interrupted General Manager Daniel Bryan and claimed he was the most must-see Intercontinental Champion of all time.

This prompted Bryan to call Miz a “coward” for the way he wrestles, which set the champion off on a rant that saw him take a shot at Bryan’s injury past and tell him to “go back to the bingo halls” and continue wrestling. Bryan will respond to Miz this week.

All of this action and more will take place on tonight’s Smackdown Live! Here is all the information you need to tune into the show:
