On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns decided to cut defensive end Paul Kruger as part of their attempts to get under the 53-man roster limit. This comes after he recorded just 2.5 sacks in 2015, but it didn’t take long for him to get scooped back up.
Kruger, who is entering his eighth season in the league, visited with the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints after getting cut. It was reported by NFL Media senior analyst Ian Rapoport that he wouldbe signing with the latter team.
Former #Browns pass-rusher Paul Kruger is signing with the #Saints, source said. A few years later than they wanted, they get their target

The Saints targeted Kruger back in 2013 after he was released by the Baltimore Ravens. They were unsuccessful in getting him, but it looks like they have finally gotten the end, who still has a few good years left in him.
He was rather ineffective in 2015 as he recorded only 27 tackles and 2.5 sacks. However, in 2014, he career highs of 53 tackles and 11 sacks.
With outside linebacker Hau’oli Kikaha out for the 2016 season, Kruger is certainly going to help this team’s defense this year.
