Arizona State names Manny Wilkins starting QB

The Arizona State Sun Devils kickoff their 2016 campaign on Saturday and they finally know who will be the starting quarterback. On Friday, head coach Todd Graham announced Manny Wilkins will lead the first-team offense onto the field for opening weekend.

Wilkins was battling freshman Brady White for the starting job.

The redshirt sophomore appears very excited to lead the Sun Devils into the 2016 season.

Last season, Wilkins, a former four-star recruit, saw limited action for the program. He did not attempt a pass and totaled just 55 yards on the ground. However, Graham seems to believe he is the right man to lead the program into the future.

Arizona State takes on Northern Arizona tomorrow night at 10:45 p.m. ET on the Pac-12 Network.
