UGA football: Nick Chubb posts inspiration message ahead of opener

The Georgia Bulldogs and North Carolina Tar Heels kickoff their 2016 seasons on Saturday in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. The game marks the return of star running back Nick Chubb, who had his 2015 campaign ended prematurely due to a severe knee injury.

Prior to his injury, Chubb was a Heisman contender and viewed by many as one of the top running backs in the nation.

Now that he is healthy and ready to return to the field this weekend, Chubb took to social media to post an inspirational message ahead of the UGA opener.

Chubb shared a photo of himself, laying on the turf in pain after his injury.

The photo was accompanied by the Gandi quote, “Strength does not come from physical capability. It comes from an indomitable will within.”

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has said that Chubb will not be limited against the Tar Heels, so it should be exciting to see how he comes out and performs in his first game back.

If Chubb can return to form, the Bulldogs could be well on their way to an impressive 2016 season.

The Bulldogs and Tar Heels are set for kickoff at 5:30 p.m. ET at the Georgia Dome.
