The Houston Cougars pulled off a huge upset over the third-ranked Oklahoma Sooners at NRG Stadium on Saturday and there was a party for the defending AAC champions. It seems like the team gained a new fan in rapper Drake following the big victory.

Drake was holding a concert down the road from NRG Stadium at the Toyota Center Saturday night and when he took the stage, he did so in a big way. He donned a No. 1 Cougars jersey, much to the delight of the Houston crowd.

Drake can usually be seen repping the Big Blue Nation, but that is normally with Kentucky basketball. He probably won’t claim the Wildcats after last night’s embarrassing collapse against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

It certainly looks like the Houston Cougars are ready to compete with the big boys and could make a run at the College Football Playoff and Drake is ready to support them the whole way there.
