The drama is over. Leading up to his mixed martial arts debut, former WWE star Phil “CM Punk” Brooks had been coy about his weight, even indicating the weight cut was going poorly and that he had never practiced a weight cut before.
However, when the time finally came on Friday morning to hit the scale, CM Punk proved that he was taking things seriously by being one of the first to appear at the early weigh-ins.
CM Punk was the fourth fighter to show up at the weigh-ins and when he stepped onto the scale he hit the welterweight mark of 170 pounds right on the money.

That’s championship weight, folks.
The opponent for Punk’s debut, Mickey Gall, also successfully made weight at 170.5 pounds. Now, the only thing left for CM Punk’s UFC debut is to step into the Octagon and show the world what he has.
The UFC 203 main card kicks off Saturday at 10 p.m. ET only on pay-per-view.
