Wisconsin LB T.J. Edwards expected play against Akron

The Wisconsin Badgers were without top tackler in linebacker T.J. Edwards last week against the LSU Tigers. The team was able to pull off the win and now Edwards should be back on the field against the Akron Zips in their season opener today.

It was reported by Jason Galloway of The Wisconsin State-Journal that Edwards should be on the field for the team today. This comes after he injured his foot over the summer and was out for an indefinite amount of time.

This is huge for the Badgers after other star linebacker Chris Orr went down with a season-ending injury last week. Edwards was the leading tackle for the team in 2015 as he recorded 84 tackles, 6.5 of them being for a loss.

The Badgers and Zips take the field at 3:30 p.m. EST on Big Ten Network.
