The Northern Illinois Huskies have not had a good start to their season and things may have just gotten much worse. Quarterback Drew Hare suffered an ankle injury in last night’s loss to South Florida and it looks like it could be quite serious.
Hare left the game with the injury in the third quarter and following the game, he left the locker room in a wheelchair and with a boot on his left foot. He was replaced by Ryan Graham following the injury.
Head coach Rod Carey could not offer a full update on the quarterback’s condition, but he did mention that they would likely move forward with Graham.
“I don’t know the diagnosis on Hare right now, but right now we’re moving forward with Ryan,” Carey said according to The Daily Chronicle.
Before the injury, Hare was 13-20 with 96 yards in game the Bulls won 48-17. In last week’s season opener against Wyoming, he went for 329 yards and three touchdowns.
The Huskies next take the field against San Diego State. Stay with Campus Sports for the latest injury updates on Drew Hare.
