Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore named Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week

The Ohio State Buckeyes dominated the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday as they moved to 2-0 after a 48-3 victory over the team. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore was a part of that win and he was honored with a special award Sunday morning.

ESPN’s Brett McMurphy reported that Lattimore had been named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week after his big week against the Golden Hurricane. He intercepted a pass and returned in 40 yards for a touchdown and knocked down four passes in the game.

Lattimore and the Buckeyes travel to Norman to play the Oklahoma Sooners next Saturday. There is no doubting that the sophomore defensive back will have to play a big part if they want to pull off the big win over the defending Big 12 champions.

It should be a fun match-up between these two teams.
