Clemson LB Ben Boulware to miss Week 3 with injury

When the No. 5 Clemson Tigers return to action in Week 3 against South Carolina State, they will be without the services of linebacker Ben Boulware.

After suffering an ankle injury in the Tigers’ narrow win over Troy, head coach Dabo Swinney announced the starting linebacker will be forced to remain on the sidelines for at least another week.

The good news, however, is that Swinney expects Boulware to return in time for the team’s conference opener against Georgia Tech in just ten days.

Following his injury, Boulware was spotted leaving the field on crutches which raised some obvious concerns.

Thanks to the update from Swinney, however, Clemson fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing the injury does not appear to be serious.

Clemson and South Carolina State are scheduled to kick off at 12 p.m. ET this Saturday on the ACC Network.
