The UFC’s middleweight division is stacked with talented contenders. So while champion Michael Bisping defends his title against Dan Henderson at UFC 204 next month, two top three challengers will be battling for the right to get the next crack at the belt.
On Sunday night, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced No. 1 contender Luke Rockhold and No. 3 contender Ronald “Jacare” Souza will be headlining an upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Melbourne, Australia.

The two men previously faced off in 2011, when Jacare was the Strikeforce champion. Rockhold secured the upset win to claim the belt.
This time around, the two men will be competing for the right to get a shot at UFC gold.
For Jacare, it would be his first UFC title fight. For Rockhold, it would provide the opportunity he immediately wanted after losing the belt to Bisping.
UFC Melbourne will take place Nov. 27 on FOX Sports 1. Additional fight announcements are expected in the coming days.
