Video: Iowa WR Matt VandeBerg proposes to girlfriend after game

Iowa wide receiver Matt VandeBerg had a pretty good weekend. After he recorded 129 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions in a 42-3 win over in-state rival Iowa State, he took a big step in his life as he proposed to his girlfriend in the stands.

VandeBerg made his way over to where his girlfriend, former Hawkeye cheerleader Laura Bulanda, was sitting and pulled out a ring to ask her the most important question a man can ever ask a woman.

She wasted little time saying yes as she jumped up and down in her seat.

Absolute perfection. In my favorite place in the entire world, my best friend made me is FIANCÉ 😦😍

This is certainly an awesome way to start off the 2016 season. I am sure she is going to be at every Iowa game from here on until she becomes Mrs. Matt VandeBerg.

Congratulations to the happy couple.
