Five-star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. will announce his commitment Thursday, according to his personal Twitter page.

Jackson, as shown in the picture, will be deciding between Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Georgetown and Maryland. Maryland and Purdue, according 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Projection, are the most likely candidates to snag Jackson.
The 6-foot-10, 220 pound recruit received offers from the likes of Kansas, Texas and Michigan, but decided one of the five programs above would suit him best.
The La Porte, Indiana, product grew up only 90 miles, or a 2-hour drive, away from Purdue’s campus, which might explain at least part of his attraction to their program.
Maryland has yet to receive a commitment from the class of 2017, so Terrapins fans will understandably be glued to Jackson’s every movement Thursday. 247Sports’ composite rankings have Jackson listed as the seventh-ranked power forward in the country as well as the 22nd-ranked overall prospect.
